So I've noticed the past week that I wake up mainly from hunger, not the typical "I have to pee" but I do get that occasionally.. anyways..I am up, not tired anymore, all about getting some grub, So I eat, and within 10 mins of eating I am very sick to my stomach and/or faint. I start to lack energy, and mobility, I almost feel disabled. I thought the other night when this happened I was just tired, but I had slept 10 hours after the hospital woke up was up for maybe an hour or two and got to where I was sitting here and couldnt bear it, scott had to pretty much lead me into the room and help me into bed I just wasnt there. Any one experiencing this?

I've heard it could be your blood sugar levels.....or even an allergy to certain foods.....go to this site: it's a forum or something where someone asked a similar question....

Hmmm, I dunno. There were a couple of times when I was pregnant that I was utterly exhausted and couldn't move. I felt like a zombie and just couldn't snap out of it. Those were times when I'd go to take a "nap" and not get up for like 5-6 hours. But I don't know about the feeling sick and faint after you eat......

well i was tested for GD a couple weeks ago, they said everything was normal my body handled the sugar perfectly. my mom suggested maybe it was from my iron, but ive been taking my iron pill once a day and eating foods enriched with iron. and i didnt feel like this before i knew my iron was low, so i dont think its that, but its just like i could put my head down after sleeping 10 hours and sleep another 5 hours. my mother also suggested maybe its from lack of sleep i said i wake up 1-2 times a night to pee and get crackers or something

even though your GD test came back normal doesn't mean you still don't have to be careful. maybe just google it and see what pops up as the most common reasons.... :-)

Ive tried, maybe I am not searching correctly. but I was hypoglycemic before i was pregnant, but I havent really had any problems with it. maybe its just 3rd trimester kicking my ass. we all know the other two have severely maybe number 3 is trying to kill me and finish their job lol

I had this problem with Sophie. After I would eat I would feel hot and shakey, dizzy, nauseous, I would have to lie down, and then it would pass after about 30 min. I had low blood sugar. I noticed it most when I would eat straight carbs, like if I had pancakes for breakfast. It helped to always eat protein, especially if I was eating carbs. A handful of peanuts or some cheese would make that sick feeling go away. And I avoided foods that always made me sick (cookies, cake, pancakes etc.)

Sorry you're not feeling well - it will all be over soon, and then you'll just be exhausted!

haha i had pancakes for breakfast this morning but I also ate a protein bar type thing, i have to eat them for the iron. but its weird that was this morning and i was fine then, but i just ate spaghetti for dinner and just couldnt take it. I have naturally low blood sugar, weird that carbs would make it worse, i was always told to eat carbs for their sugars if it got too low, or a candy bar. ive tested my BS though and its saying its fine. I dono its like i get a heavy feeling in my shoulders and arms like a numbness too, its weird. i swear my kid just hates me lol

Coartney, If you are worried, you should chat with your doc there. Maybe they would want to run a blood test. Third trimester is killer as you said, but just to be sure, I'd mention it to your doc. And your baby wuvs you and can't wait to meet you I am sure!!!

haha I have mentioned it, my doctor, honestly, is a twit. lol. if anything swells, put cold water on it, you're coughing up blood or puking up blood, take a tums, you're overly exhausted, take a nap. lol ..plus after my cervical exam the other day I am a little pissy, I am allergic to latex and he shoved his latex glove right up into me, and wondered why i freaked LOL

Crap Coartney, I am sorry you are feeling so poopy and have such a poopy doc. Any chances of going offbase for one or is it only covered if you use them?

well when i got brought to the labor and delivery off base, that was well an experience on its own! LOL .. the only one who spoke english was my turkish doctor and my husband and I. and I dont want to sound rude, but its not really all that clean of a facility, when i had to do my urine test i was in thebathroom hovering over the toilet (this is in my private room) and there were little black pubes all over the floor.. -looks down- haha YEH not mine lolol .. we're trying real hard to make sure my iron goes up so i can be sent home by military but if they say no b.c of my iron im flying home commercial, regardless. like i said not to sound rude, but Id rather an american idiot doctor deliver my kid, the language barrier here is too much. i dono but hopefully soon enough ill be home in florida and things iwll be taken care of

man coart they need to let you come home asap. the dr's there are just not working! I know it is normal to feel tired, but this is a whole new extreme. I would still try to get a meter to test you blood surger just to be safe. The symptoms sound like it could be due to that. Try eating foods that are low in simple carbs and are high in protine and whole wheat. If it is a surger issue your body should handle these foods better.

Coartney - I am also 32 weeks and wake up in the middle of the night more because I feel as if I am starving thatn having to pee. I've never gotten up to eat though because i am too tired to go "all the way downstairs" to the kitchen so haven't experienced what you have...it does sound like blood sugar but i'm not sure...

marti lol its too far downstairs.. my bathroom is basically connected to our room and thats too far for me. i keep one of those little packs of peanut butter crackers next to my bed and wake up with hunger and eat one or two lol .. i eat things high in protein and fiber mainly b.c they have more iron, so i dono .. maybe it is just 3rd trimester whooping my ass like my mother says
