take maxilon its available from the chemist without a script. Its a tablet to stop vommiting but increases your milk supply I took it and it works. ↑ |
It's not just eating - fluid intake plays a huge role in supply, so make sure you're drinking lots of water. Is it getting hot yet there? I know it's been very warm in Tucson for the past month or so and I've had to make myself get back in the habit of overdoing the water! Also, remember that the pump will never give the same results as the baby. The baby will always do a better job of emptying the breast than the pump. Fenugreek is an herb that boosts supply, and I've also heard that eating oatmeal helps. When can you start nursing again? ↑ |
kristy, just try and pump for about 5 or 10 mins after each feed, you'll see it start to go back up. I would avoid medications, I thought of it myself when my supply was going down and I just did pumping for a few mins after nursing or pumping inbetween. It's all about supply and demand and unfortunately, your body knows the difference between the baby and a plastic pump so the pump will never be as effective but will help. If you have a hard time with letdown, think of Harper or have her with you. Also, the type of pump you have plays a major role. ↑ |
Kristy I found that drinking a lot of water helps bring lots more milk in, try drinking more. ↑ |
Fenugreek works well. I used it after I breastfed a long time after my breast reduction. ↑ |
Drink LOTS of water and get that baby back on your boob.. OFTEN!!!! Your baby is the best method for getting your supply back... Good luck ↑ |
Also picking up nursings at night for a little while will help greatly. Increase nursings not pumping. Pump after each feeding. Drink lots of water. These are simple things that will have big reasults. ↑ |
I was going to try the Fenugreek but by the time I had the money to pick it my supply stopped comming in. It just stopped. Wasn't engorged or anything like that. It literally just stop ↑ |
