With my son I measured big and everything with my sugars came back fine. He was 8 pound 10 ounce when he was born, with very little room to move. The doctor told me after he delivered my son that he was pretty packed in there. At the same time you could have Gestational Diabietes which can result in a larger baby and can happen to pretty much anyone who is pregnant.
I wouldn't worry about it to much though. If it something serious they'll call you right away. ↑ |
well they said that i was measuring a whole month bigger than what the last ultrasound said so now if the sugars come back good then i have to go for another ultrasound the military only usually gives you one. so i guess i will be getting another one. and the nurse practionier said she could see me anymore that i was considered high risk. who knows. ↑ |
I measured 1 month further along as well and the doctor told joked that I was right on schedule to have a 11pound baby. I didn't really think it was funny. I'm just glad that I didn't go over my due date because who knows how big he would have been. ↑ |
wow maybe my sugars will be good and i just have a big baby. i hope that my sugars are good because i do like the occasional chocolate. ↑ |
Maybe you are farther than they though hah. But im measuring big on this baby as well and I deffinalty look it so I get my glucose done on the 4th and we will see if its cause that ↑ |
yeah its crazy that you can measure a month bigger though. i'm scared that something is wrong and it sucks. ↑ |
I always measured bigger than what i was and I went 2 weeks over my due date and delivered a 10 lb baby!! Good luck!! ↑ |
well i just thought i would let you all know that my sugar results came back and they are low at 82 so everything is good for now. but now they are trying to work me into an appointment in two weeks for an ultrasound to see why baby is measuring so big. so wish me luck. ↑ |
As mentioned before I also measure a month bigger then where I should be. I am not pregnant with my second and again I am measuring bigger. I'm not to worry, my surgars with my son where fine and I am sure that this time they are fine as well.
You might just be having a bigger baby, or maybe your further along then they originally had thought. A due date calculated with an U/S is just an estimate based on measurements. I wouldn't worry about it though, it's just added stress that you don't need. ↑ |
