To all of you that is battling anorexia- I am a 22-year old girl struggling to escape the evil clutches of this devil called anorexia. I've been in 2 clinics the past 4 years and have literally stood at death's door.

Reading all of your comments have made me realise once again that it is not worth living with this. Luckily, I've been able to improve my eating the past few months and have started weight training. I can honestly say that the exercise helps my self esteem, because seeing my hard work in the form of muscles is very rewarding. It also helps me eat better, because I know muscle burns more kilojoules and it looks better than skin and bones.

To all of you wanting tips to become anorexic, PLEASE go somewhere else! This is NOT a pro-ana site- there is plenty of sites to go to where you can continue your craziness!

Although I'm still far away from recovered, I remain positive and know that, by taking baby steps at a time, it IS possible to recover!

I know it's difficult (it was and still is for me) but it's about deciding whats important in your life. Do you want to reach your potential or do you want to feel like you feel now for the rest of your life? It's a decision only you can make- if you don't make a concerted effort to get better, you will suffer for the rest of your life (what's left of it). I once thought that it would go away on its own and that one day I would be 'normal' again, but unfortunately it doesn't work like that- YOU must decide what's important in your life and then YOU must make the choice to get better.

I know it sounds harsh, but I've learnt the hard way that it's the only way! I'm here for you if you ever need me! :-)
