My poor bulldog still smells like fritos and I eat cheetoes now. My husband is so happy and he pretends he cant smell the poor frito smelling dog. I also have a french poodle named Peirre. He does NOT smell like fritos. I have tried the wipes, cleaning the wrinkles, BUT i will not and refuse to smell his stinky feet. PLEASE help. I miss fritos and bean dip!!!

****INFO ON PAWS**************

I had Mac to the vet today due to his feet smelling more "frito-y" than normal. He has a yeast/fungal infection between his toes and the vet gave me a great "home remedy":

1 part white vinegar to 1 part hydrogen peroxide, wipe between pads and toes with a cotton ball three times a day until the infection starts to dry up, then use once daily. (Do NOT let dog on carpets/rugs until feet are dry -- can cause bleach spots.)

If there are any open sores/lesions from the infection, use panalog (animax) cream sparingly in conjunction with above mixture, until healed.

This solution also works on dogs like shih tzus and bichons that have yeast infections under their eyes (where the fur is sometimes stained dark) -- just do NOT get the solution in their eyes. Use a small cotton ball or q-tip. =

Well there you go....now we all know why they smell like fritos! Lol!! I used peroxide, I had no clue about the vinegar part or why their feet even smelled like that. All I knew was that the peroxide got rid of the smell.

Ok yveeb...is it just his face that smells that way or his whole body?? If he stinks all over then the next stop is the vet's office. Your Bully probably has some kind of allergy or skin condition.

When you bathe him, you need to get in the face wrinkles really good with a soapy wash cloth. Just lathering him by hand him won't help. Keep going with the wipes and cornstarch baby powder : ))

OK...I admit lindalu FORCED me to smell my dog's feet. LOL! She is a very aggressive woman LOL! That is a way different smell than the Bully Frito smell. Sometimes they get so ripe you can smell them from 15 feet away. It has to do with the enzymes their bodies produce. The enzymes are also responsible for the excessive tear stains bulldogs have.

P.S. Sorry to say, you are stuck with your bully baby...YOU CAN NOT GIVE HIM AWAY!!! Bulldogs are very sensitive and have been known to starve themselves to death when parted with their families. Please let me know how you make out. ♥
