we just got out dog 1.5 months ago, she's almost 4 months now, and is having a downfall in our potty training. sometimes she'll let us know when she has to go, and we'll take her outside, and she will pee, and come inside, find a corner in the house and poop. how do i control this???? this has been getting worse and worse the last few days.

I have a Miniature Schnauzer that we are trying to potty train. We've tried taking him out right after he eats and then if he doesn't go to the bathroom we put him in his crate and then take him out again about every five minutes or so. He always seems to go to the bathroom when we get inside. We have two different crates one that he sleeps in and a crate/pen that we keep him in when we are out. He doesn't go to the bathroom in his sleeping crate but he will in the pen. I don't know what to do to get him to go outside. Any advice?

trying to feed her she is scared i had to hand pieces to her
And to take her out side to be picked up she will pee and sound like im hurting her but i havent forced her allowed her to come to me and she does as long as i let her approach me

Hi I have a 9 week old female austrailan shepperd puppy names Koda. I have had her home for about a week now. She is starting to show some aggressivness towards like little kids and around her food. I have a 3 year old daughter and she will bark agressivly and try to nip at her face when being held or walked on a leash bu her. I dont want to have to find her a new home because we love her dearly, we just need some feedback on how to currect this behaviour in out puppy. Thanks!

Well first I think the puppy pads are for inside, but ok. Wel to get your dog to go on the doggy pad or in a special place you need to place a scoope or to of its previous dropping in that area and pick up any other dropping that it made so that its only limited to that one place. After the pup has smelled her doo every time you take her to do her business take her to that area and have a special word like "do it" or "go". You must have patience with her it will take a while but she will get the hang of it.

Well what I would do is before you take her outside tell her to go peepee and poopoo outside and whenever she does say "good girl" and give her a treat. She should get the hang of it after a few weeks or so.

I have a Weimaraner puppy that is starting to get on our last nerve. We have done all that is said to help potty train puppies, diapers, crate training, taking outside every half hour. The diapers he eats, the crate training, they say they won't pee in their beds, but he does, then lays in it. We also place puppy pee pads in there, and he pees on them then eats them. We were making head way and we made it 2 days without any accidents, but he has digressed severly. He will go outside, go potty, and come in and pee as we are putting him back in the kennel. Or we will be laying in bed almost immediately after and he gets up and pees in the bed. The most recent incident, is he got introuble for going potty in the house, so he went outside, came back in, pee'd as he was walking into the kennel, and then pretty much made the kennel a swimming pool. We watch him go potty outside, but it still isn't enough apparently. Any ideas on what to do here? we are pretty much at the ned of our ropes here! Thanks in advance!!!

I'm going to collect my new addition to my family at the weekend, a 10 month old Staffordshire Bullterrier. I have been for the last 4 weeks searching the internet for good training tips and was beginning to feel really anxious not finding enough advice however I feel I have hit the jack pot finding this site, i now understand the hole point of crate training and have taken into account other points raised that i hadn't even thought about and am now feeling much more confident about bringing my baby home :)

Hi ... we have 2 pups 20 weeks and 13 weeks. the best way to potty train them is allocate a spot in the house that you want the pup to go. then when you know what signs to look for when the pup needs to go you guide it to where you have placed the pads. make sure its some where you want to have it permanently. this way they will know this is where to go. they will sniff around a bit and then gradually will know where to go. the biggest thing is that you help them where they need go. you might a few miss haps but be patient and they will get it right.

hopes this helps.

Cheers

Hi we have a 10 week old puppy. Yesterday we took him out for the first time. Last night started to pick up his paw. I have had a look and can see a white round thing in between his last claw. I tryed to remove it and he cryed. Is it a claw? Help the vet said they will only talk to us if it was an emergancie.

we have an 11 week gsp and we creat train her and when she needs to go to the bathroom she waits at the door.never goes inside.she has done this since 8 weeks. good luck! and btw puppy pads are a bad idea.it convinces the dog to pee and poo on fabricated surfaces
