My husband and I want to build a kennel outside for the dogs. My youngest can be outside for 10 minutes and trash the yard. So we thought about an outdoor kennel for their outside time. The ones at the pet store aren't as big as I want it. Does anyone have any ideas on building one?

Momof3, Hello! You may do better with contacting a local fence company. In some cases its cheaper to have an area fenced out than to purchase a kennel. Or you can purchase the fencing and install it your self.

I think we will do it ourselves. Because I couldn't find one big enough for both of them.

You probably will do better installing one yourself. The kennels that are sold at the pet stores are expensive, it would be more cost efficient to purchase the fencing and installing it yourself. I bought a 15ft x 7ft kennel from a pet supply store it cost nearly $300.00. I could have installed a much bigger one had I bought the fencing and installed it myself.

Hey,
I saw your comment. You can buy two of the dog kennels at the petstore or somewhere where they sell them and connect them together and it will make 1 big kennel that is what I did for my English Bulldogs.
