I am having a baby in April. My son has a ball python which he has had for 4 years. I've heard that having one in the home is very dangerous to the baby due to Salmonella. Am I going to have to force my son to give up his pet?

Well..... I would think not, unless your infant is going to be handeling the snake. The child would have to handel the snake or handel the snakes poop! So if he/she wont be doing any of the above then you have nothing to wory about!

I dont know how big it is but I know my mom would not allow a big snake in the house.
