Hi there,

I know a bit about freshwater tanks, but I've never kept a saltwater one. Have you investigated on the internet about them? I've heard that they're hard to keep.

Tell me about the one that you have. What kind of fish/animals do you have and what kind of filtration system. I'm interested in all kinds of fishy stuff! *LOL*

I'm not looking for info on them, my husband does all the hard stuff!! lol
I just like talking about them, and looking at them.
We have a 90 gallon tank. We have a Snowflake eel, a trigger fish, a sail fin, and 2 clown fish, there is also a star fish in there, but you really have to look to find it. It hides behind all the rocks. I am not sure of the filtration system, all I know is that it is alot bigger than the one we had for our 75 gallon. It takes up the whole cabinet under the tank. I am not sure how many pounds of live rock we have. We also have some real pretty corals. I love looking at it.
When people come over they love it when it is time to feed the eel, we have feeder tongs, and feed it the freeze dried shrimp. My husband has a bunch of pictures of it, I should try and get some to you!

Do you have a tank?

Yeah, I have a cold-water tank......I think it's only about 30 gallons though. I don't have the time to do much with it. I have some white clouds, a little carp and a bleak that I caught from the local river.

OMG your tank sounds like quite something!!!!!!!!! Is is a lot of work???

Is the eel tame?

I love salt-water tanks........they're beautiful.

Like I said, all I do is feed them when My husband is at work. He does all the work, but he has his routine, so it isn't too bad. Plus the bigger they are, the easier they are to maintain. They are just really expensive to start up. This one he bought off of ebay. So he got it at a really great price and everything was already started.
I have never tested the eel to see if he is tame!!! I use the feeder tongs to feed him. I never knew that eels were blind, so I have to hold the shrimp in the tongs until he smells it and comes and gets it.
I am in the process of setting up a myspace page. I will post some on there or find some way to get you pictures of it.

Yeah, that would be good.

I didn't know that the eels are blind either. I guess they have a good sense of smell though.

Oh yes he does!!! Within seconds of putting shrimp in the water he is out trying to find it. It is really kind cool. I was shaking like a leaf!
