| in most place they are used to do fighting but i dont think they should banned them cause as long as a pitt bull is put to work like caring a pack and is treated right they will not bite or hurt anyone they can be a very kind dog it is the owner who trains them to be that way but i understand the city rules i have 7 dogs and 5 of the 7 are blue heelers or blue heeler mixs they are can be trained to be mean or good too all dogs are that way that how i feel but i live in a small town that dont care if even ur dogs have thier shots as long as they dont run lose all over but my do have their shots ↑ |

| Pitt Bulls get a bad rap, they should be treated on individual bases. It has beed proven that some dog bites that were alledgedly a pitt bull, was another breed looking like a pitt bull. I honestly believe this hysteria is just another witch hunt. They deserve respect, just like every other breed of dog. ↑ |

| So where are the statstics that say 50 percent are pittbulls, rottweillers that reported dog bites? It is proven that all reported incidendents are not correct, at all. I was also wondering how many people made the animal mean, before this statistic was created? I think people should realize the false statements, before judging. Thats what I believe is wrong with people like that. It's kind of like steotyping, for example if I ran into one person who was different like asian, or black, does that make all of the bad? no right? | I think that its all in the way they are raised! Owners that do have pitt bulls and take good care of them and already know that they pose no threat to enyone, should be able to keep and raise theire pitt bulls. On the other hand bad owners should have theire dog taken away and be rehabilitated,and definetly not euthenized!To a lot of other people i strongly dissagree with what u say about pitts bein aggressive and should be euthenized like i said they should be rehabilitated.I have a pitt bull myself a 1yr old and he is my bayby and he wouldn't hurt enyone, so im against banning pitt bulls and i would do enything for my pup:) ↑ |

| No way. i have three amazing it bulls. never had a better dog. not only that, but their best friend is a bichon-poo. only weighs less than 10lbs. i also have a 2yr old & they are great with her. theyve never growled, bitten or done anything like that. if someone were to make me muzzle my dog in public just because hes a pit ; id kill them ! its a form of racism. its ridiculous. bad owners should be banned. ↑ |

there are no pitt-bull regulations in my city. My 2 year old daughter was attacked by a pitt bull this past sunday, she will have scars on her face for the rest of her life.since when did dogs become more important than human safety? C'mon people get a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| You know there is a double edged sword for put bulls one half wants them banned and the other doesn't. True there have been many cases of pit bulls attacking children or other "aggressive" breeds that have done the same thing. If any dog went after a child of mine or one of my own pets i would be out of my mind. Sadly it has happened to me i had a Brittney dog that killed my two parakeets, but in this case she was doing what she was bred for. I was upset, but couldn't stay mad at her forever for doing what her instincts told her. Now im not saying all pits go after kids either, or any dog for that matter the problem is any dog no matter what breed has the potential to be aggressive. Belive it or not i have a golden retriver that is perfectly fine around people, but can't be around other dogs because she will attack them and has drawn blood before. About two weeks ago i was bittin by my choc lab breaking up a fight between him and a dog we were babysitting. She was possesive of toys and didn't live with other dogs so she snapped at him and he didn't like it. Hows that for aggressive breeds? None of this is the dogs fault though and while its hard to tell this to people who have been attacked or had bad experiances, they need to look at it from all angles. Dogs are not like humans they can't tell us to back off in human speech and children are often a like more clumbsy. Im not saying its the childs fault either but banning a breed because of one dog is like banning a african american from a state because one person who was black hurt someone. its dicrimination pure and simple. If you train and socialize your dog you won't have this problem. im now able to keep many dogs with my golden retriver as long as they arn't too pushy or doms. She will never be truly trustworthy because old habits die hard and she had her problem for 5yrs before we got her, but shes happy and thats what matters. as for my lab the min he bit me he backed off for a few mins then came back to give me a sniff on my arm to see if i was ok. Drew blood and gave me a nice puncture that hurt, but i don't hold it against him. ↑ |
