You will need a crate be sure it isnt to big, all he needs is it to be big enough for him to stand and turn around in. If it is to big he will relieve him self in it! He will need some chew toys, be sure they are made for heavy chewers. These guys have enormous strenght in thier jaws and need tough chew toys. You also may want to stock up on paper towels as well as carpet stain remover and floor cleaner. Beeing he is a puppy he will have many accidents before he learns the proper potty spot. Good luck!

I have a male English Bulldog just over a year old...Tank. No stuffed toys, rawhide bones, or ropes. All can be easily shredded by a bulldog and can be choking hazards because of the narrow esophagus. Try to keep all her wrinkles clean and dry. Use unscented baby wipes and cornstarch only baby powder. Only feed her dry food. They have a very sensitive digestive system and 1 can of wet food will create several days worth of diarrhea. Everything they say about a bulldog being stubborn is absolutely true x 2. A sturdy crate is going to be a necessity. My Tank will still pee on the throw rug in front of the backdoor if he is not let out the instant he has to go. Maybe he thinks it's indoor grass. Thank God for hardwood floors. They have the best personalities! Real people dogs and great with kids. Everyday Tank will do something silly to make us laugh out loud. And they make the best noises. He chuffles and snorts and grunts...too funny!! Some have gas problems that can clear a room. You should be OK if you watch what she eats. We feed Tank Purina One and have never had that particular problem. Purina One is also the only one I can find that does not have beet juice. I'm told beet juice contributes to tear stains. My vet told me to gradually change him completely over to adult food between 4-6 months. They grow very quickly and puppy chow has too much protein etc. that can contribute to weak or unhealthy joints. Find a vet that is familiar with bulldogs. A vet not experienced with this breed can miss diagnose things that are perfectly normal for a bulldog. Good luck with your new baby...you will just love her!! Please feel free to ask if you have more questions.

josenda you are so welcome hon! Remember when using the crate never use it as a disapline or punishment place. Only for a tool! to help keep him safe and for potty training. Good luck !

Try the Kong it is a heavy duty rubber chew toy, he will not be able to chew through a Kong. You can get them in just about any pet supply store. I buy my Doberman the black one it is designed for the heaviest chewers.
