Worm the dog, and then take him to a vet.

Bright red blood isn't a huge concern because it comes from the lower GI tract since it isn't digested. The most likely cause is quickly changing the dog's food and/or worms. Do like "Von" said and get the dog checked by a vet.

u should take him to the vet it could be parvo and he could eventually die if they don't catch it soon enough

babi i gonna tell ya to get it check and then u should give it back to the owner and or yell at him or she for not taking good care for the dog.

If you just ogt him it could just be stress, but if he is a young puppy you should get him checked out...especially if he just came from a breeder or a shelter. He could have Parvo which is fatal.

Oh yeah and feed him a premium food. NOT pedigree. Don't feed your dog anything you can get at a grocery store or anyplace other than a vets office or pet store.

Have his stool checked. If it's not worms then the doctors will most likely give you medication (metronidazole) and/or a special diet like I/D. Unless he ate something he shouldn't, it could be a block, but I highly doubt that.
