Bright red blood isn't a huge concern because it comes from the lower GI tract since it isn't digested. The most likely cause is quickly changing the dog's food and/or worms. Do like "Von" said and get the dog checked by a vet. ↑ |

If you just ogt him it could just be stress, but if he is a young puppy you should get him checked out...especially if he just came from a breeder or a shelter. He could have Parvo which is fatal. ↑ |

Oh yeah and feed him a premium food. NOT pedigree. Don't feed your dog anything you can get at a grocery store or anyplace other than a vets office or pet store. ↑ |

Have his stool checked. If it's not worms then the doctors will most likely give you medication (metronidazole) and/or a special diet like I/D. Unless he ate something he shouldn't, it could be a block, but I highly doubt that. ↑ |
