NO, they are really just not a yappy breed, all dogs bark, except of course, basenjis, they yoddle.

A dog on its own will bark because it is bored, lonely. Two dogs together can be worse because they spur each other on. Each dog, you can say, has to get the last word (bark) in which can often lead to an all day chorus.

Do not let them into the house to stop them barking, as they will feel rewarded. Praise them when they bark at appropriate times...ie. someone coming to the door.
When they bark at inappropriate times, give them a very low disapproving no and then pay them no attention.

If you reward them when barking is appropriate, they will learn that there is also an inappropriate time to bark.

They are always going to slip up. They are dogs, dogs bark, thats what they do. Also, those toys that you put food inside and the dog has to work to get the food out. That will keep them preoccupied and less interested in any noise that they may bark at.
