| I was givin a level 2 ultrasound a week ago because there was a lt laterial ventical in my daughters heart and when i went to the level 2 they fuond a fold in her neck which will looklike a extra roll on the back of her neck unlike most people who jsut have 2. They said that the fold is another sign of my daughter haveing down symdorme and offered me a amnio. Im not going to do the amnio. But im going for the quad screening.. They said alot of babies that show these 2 signs b4 birth can come out normal. So either way im satisfied. If she has it im going to except her no matter what. ↑ |

| hi tara i'm 26 and have 5 kids myself my last born Hunta is now 1yro and has litten up my world like you would not belive he is so cute. We didn't find out about his downs until he was born. yea it was a huge shock at first but i have always beliveved that only special parents get the kids to look after. im in no way saying that it is easy but i think it is even more rewarding than my 4 usual kids. they are all special in their on ways but for hunta every liitle acheivement iis huge for him if you would like to chat more or have any questions contact me at [email protected] and i would be more than happy to help you in any way ↑ |

| they wanted me me get tested to see wether my baby would have down syndrom and i didnt want to ...i am a 16 year old girl that is 24 weeks and just didnt quite feel well to get the needle to see wether it would..do u think my baby would have it?? ↑ |

| yeah had the same thing happen to me with my first preg. i was 16 weeks and my downs ratio was 1/50. So did the intense,long US and it didn't show any markers for downs so i decided not to do the amnio. At that point i was pretty confident that the baby was okay but i stressed until she was delivered, never again will i do that test. good luck to you; tHIS JUST HAPPENED TO A FRIEND OF MINE TOO, JUST TODAY SHE IS 15 WKS AND SHE IS 1/16 SHE HAS AN US ON MON. ↑ |

| Hi my name is dawn I am 13 weeks pregnant with baby # 5.. we had a ultra-screen done and found out the baby (NT) measured 3.9 my blood work came back giving us a 1-12 chance of having a baby with down syndrome we are very scared. has anyone ever had a good outcome. ↑ |

| hey i have a baby with downs she is a year old now it was very scarey to find out about she had it but she is like a normal one year old i'm pregnant again and this one barley moves i'm 20 weeks so i figure this one will have it to. | hey tara, i have no idea what amnio is i wouldn't do it . My little girl has downs and she is as normal as any other baby its the way you treat them is the way they turn out . i do not stay stuck up her bottom, its better for her to learn every way a baby with out it should i think . she is only 34% behind in her age which is really good she is little but we love her with all our hearts. ↑ |

I am 34 yrs old , running in 19+ week , My Triple Marker test shows I have trisomy 21 positive . but my level 2 ultrasound is perfectly OK . Still my doc says I have .1 % risk of have baby with down syndrom. she is suggesting amniocentesis which is having 2% risk of abortion .
I am confused what to do ?

I am under huge stress , kindly someone suggest me what to do.
I have seen in my level 2 ultrasound that all the organs of my kid is perfectly fine , there is absolutely no problem in the kid then why trisomy 21 is positive ?? ↑ |

| I have a wonderful 4 year old whom just happends to have trysomy 21 I would not change him for anything!I did not have the amnio test. Why??I love my baby its what God has giving me to take care of.my son has nothing wrong with him. his health is normal nothing wrong. he has been hospitalized once for phnemonia.He wears hearing aids.mild hearing loss. thats all. | I also have a 7-year old girl with a down syndrome. It was my husband who first told me the possibility of her condition since she has a different facial features compared to my first two girls, so when my pedia told me about it, Im not surprised anymore. She has no any health issues except that she was born with inperforated anus. She was advised to be operated right away. ↑ |

Dear Tara
When i was 20 weeks preg with my baby girl i was tolt that she has a heart defect witch goes with down. Katelyn was born the 22 March 2010 and had downs she went for open heart surgery and passed away the 1 Sep 2011. I am now preg again 10 weeks and i am so stessed out but you know what ? I BELIVE THAT GOD WILL NEVER GIVE YOU SOMETHING YOU CANT HANDEL. Good luck ↑ |
