I made the decision to stay home with my son in August 2008. The best decision I ever made. We went on a budget (still are) and make it work. You can find so many ways to do this. At first I was bored at some points and started to do stuff online. I found myself getting tons of freebies online. I joined mypoints and swagbucks. I earn points just for searching and earn gift cards. I buy my son things with them. I also do ebay and computer graphics so I guess if I ever get bored, this helps. Find things for yourself and things you enjoy....on the little downtime you have not being a parent, you can do things for fun and enjoy plus get an added reward. It is worth it!
swagbucks is so easy....you use their search engine instead of google for instance and earn "swagbucks." when you have a referral join you can earn up to 1,000 swagbucks each time your referral wins. So needless to say i'm going to plug in my link here. If you joined off my link - i can win when you win. When you get someone to join off YOUR referral link...you win.
The best thing to get in my opinion is amazon.com gift cards. They are stackable so if you have more than one you can order things for free. I've done it before and order dvd's for my son.
good luck moms!

I do the same thing! I love blogging too, http://thedaysofasahm.blogspot.com

Thank you so much for this great topic, and if I wasn't already an active participant in swagbucks I would totally give you the referral :).

Thanks! Jenn

Awesome Jenn! I will have to check out your blog. I thought about starting one myself, just haven't done one yet. I'm sure I'll start soon.
Here is another cool site I LOVE, maybe you will like it too.
freebies4mom.blogspot.com
I never thought I'd get into these types of sites but there are so many moms out there that share all their secrets and places to shop online and discounts it is very cool. I like this site, i've often visited lots of the links for cheap photos or freebies. Gotta love free! ha ha (and it is fun too)

Heya, saw that no men had commented on this page yet, so what-da-heck ill give it a shot, so far my only thought is "help me", sounds very scary [(-.-[) so many miscarriage and *im in pain* comments, grim stuff, very glad i get to work and pay the bills rather than have the baby, and i give my support, gratitude and er.. soul to those brave enough :)

SCARY! ↑

Being a stay at home can be a little overwhelming. That is why I have started a blog about finding our identity again by breaking the myths and silence of our vocation.
