My daughter is almost 7 months old and I have been feeding her solids since she was 5 months old. In the last couple of weeks I have had a real problem getting her to pay attention to me so I can feed her. She's always looking at other things around her. I make it totally silent in the house, I've tried ringing a bell, whistling, singing, calling her name....EVERYTHING....to try to get her attention. I thought maybe she wasn't hungry, but then i waited like 4 hours until i sat her down to eat and she still did the same thing. She also won't open her mouth. She tries to just suck on the tip of the spoon, and it makes a big mess. We never had any problems before, and now all of a sudden she's just terrible at eating. Any suggestions???? any at all????? I am getting soooooo frustrated, and it's starting to be a real drag to feed her and it's not fun and enjoyable anymore!! Please help me!!!!!!!

I try to make Noah laugh when he gets that way and when he opens his mouth I put the tip of the spoon in and he tastes the food and eats it.

maybe try giving her some finger foods so she can play around with them and feed herself if she is not to young?
