Name: Nicolaaa Title: !!! (posted this yesterday, but know where we're going now)

My family is pretty diverse...they are scattered all around England, Wales and Scotland...and Ireland I suppose. SO thats pretty much the UK. There are alot of feuds going on in the family...dating back to aggggesss ago...well before I was born and they are mostly between the stubborn scots so the refuse to drop it.

Anyway….Last night my cousin sent me a link to a blogspot website..and we have some family in Canada! From my mums side so they are not in a bitter feud with anyone! They have a beautiful little girl called Kayylynn and she is suffering with leukaemia. I don’t know quite where they are living in Canada, but mum wants us to go and see them somewhen and meet them. Im so excited!!! Lol…always wanted to go to Canada!!!

Wish her well...but she is getting better.

*** It's in Colgary (spelling) Does anyone know where it is? is that near anybody?

I just wish my dads side of teh family would stop rowing...and play nice!!! they hate my mum and us because...WE ARE ENGLISH! Mum ranaway and got married in St Lucia because if one lot of family turned up, the otehrs wouldnt. At my dads funeral a fight broke out and one person broke their arm and the other cracked their head open.

ITS SO SILLY!!! I want a very small ceremony to avoid all this...but Paul is clsoe to all his family so wants them all there...I'd much rather just get the day over and done with and get on with being married!!!

before my prom..i walked around in weeks in my prom shoes so I wouldnt fall flat on my face!!!

The bloody chateau place where we're getting married has cost a bomb...let alone the reception and everything else!!! Plane tickets for all his family...who buys them? Do we have to? It would piss me off if one of my kids got married in another country and i was invited and had to pay my own fare...but we cant physically do that i dont think?!?!!!

aww wow maxieee!! lol

well hon i dont know if there is a rule as such about plane tickets. I think these days...people are a little less uptight about EXACTLY how things should go. I think.....that if you invite them.....if they can come.....(that takes lots of planing for them alone) they would pay. His parents now.....umm if they are out of country....i would pay for them. But thats me hon.....i dont beleive thats a rule. You know if they can aford it or not.....and you got to go from there. Ask around hon...but i think thats the way it might work.

They can afford it...It's just they would probably hold it against me for the entire marriage!!! hehee

I would MUCH rather get married this year, in this country, before teh baby comes, and cheaply...but well....i'll just go along with what he wants. :o)

October can be chilly in Calgary........
but if you come to B.C ( british columbia) ...there are a few of us that you chat too that live out this way.........

I have to say B.C Canada, is beautiful!!! Mountains , Ocean, greenery........really beautiful!

yes....Our electrictian just moved out to B.C...He'd been tehre on holiday a few times and LOVED it. He said the schools out there are great, Mum wanted to move out thre after my dad died but for other reasons we couldnt leave britain really.

I think Paul would be up for a hol like that. Went and picked him up last night and we talked through all of our problems...and I must say...things are looking rosey once again. A weight off my mind i must say.

Lol...Is Calgory a busy place? Or is it kinda idyllic and country?

I am living about an hour and a half away from Calgary right now... I don't love it here much... I miss B.C. :(

Calgary is a busy busy city. Lots to do and to see. No small town there. Just google the city nicola......you will see there are all kinds of places that you could go and visit. I dont "think" that you would be disappointed by any one of them. Its a beautiful city.......but like Randi said......its NOTa "BC" city lol. They are close to the mountains.........you cant miss them you can see them well. But, no BC is the most beautiful province in Canada. If you make it out this way......you will see why.
