My senior year in high school which was back in '96 I was experience alot of problems. I was unable to go to school for a full day because walking and getting up then sitting back down cause me alot of abdominal pain. Standing for long period would cause my back to hurt. My doctor gave me an ultrasound and found that I actually had ovarian cysts. They went in and had removed them. I was okay for probably 6 months when I started experience the same problems. This time I changed my doctor. I had an ultrasound done because they thought that maybe I had more cysts but found nothing. So again I had exploratory surgery only to find out that I have early stages of Endo. Although standing for long periods of time can still be uncomfortable at time and I understand the back aches, things have been alot better. However it did make it a little more difficult to get pregnant the second time around.

Angela -

Have you ever tried any natural supplements? As I get older, my periods get worse and worse - horrible cramps and excessive bleeding - I take a pre-menstral formula that helps tremendously. I also use a natural progesterone cream that helps with the mood swings. I have heard that it has helped those with endomitriosis as well.

I am not by any means saying that your doc isn't doing all he/she can - but sometimes they don't look at non-pharmaceutical options..... just trying to help.

wow... that you bring this up. i have the same thing except for mine had cells come off of my uterus after my second baby and it formed a whole other uterus off to the side. It filled up with blood every moths like a normal uterus but had no other purpose. I was so worried about this when I found out that I was pregnant but my dr said it actually goes away while you are pregnant has anyone else heard that?

I was actually put on a progesterone cream which help with the symptoms alot. While I was pregnant with my son I actually had no problem that I wouldn't link to my pregnancy. I am currantly 10 weeks and 5 days along with my second pregnancy but before I became pregnant the only problems that I had where the backaches and extremely painful cramps. I've never heard that endo goes away after pregnancy since this is tissue.
