My husband and I came home the other night and my son was standing there with this worried look on his face and we could hear water running in the bathroom. We asked him what was wrong and he said when he was in the process of getting ready for bed he turned on the hot water to wash his face and then when he got done he could not get the water to turn off and it had been runnung for awhile! He thought he had broken something, poor kid! What had happened was that the handle was stripped and it would have happened to the next person to turn it on who happened to be our son. Poor guy,he thought he was in a world of trouble! We broke the handle off and tried to turn it off with a pair of pliers but no luck! So we had to turn off our main water valve that turns off all the water in our house and I had my brother come the next morning and replace the faucet! My son thought it was all his fault, poor kid!

Poor little guy, I hope you explained that it wasn't his fault. Things just wear out over time.

Oh yeah we did Stacy but he still felt so bad,i felt sorry for him! He just didn't know what to do! I told him it would have happened on me or dad if we would have been the next to turn it on,and it was no big deal and he wasn't in any trouble!

It sounds like he has a big heart, for a little boy.

AWW, he was probably so scared. :( Glad you got it all worked out. I hate it when plumbing problems arise, it's the worst!

Awww... poor little buddy. I can imagine that "Oh CRAP!" feeling he must have had when he couldn't get it back off. He sounds like a sweet kid to have felt so apologetic about it though.
