All I seem to do is laundry. I'm sure I'm not alone but I have a question for all you out there. I just recently got a washer and dryer( my first ones) and i accedently left some clothes in the washer over night. now the washer smell sour. I have done everything I can think of to fix it but it still smells. Does anyone know of a good fix?

Give it a good wash out with hot soapy water and dry thoroughly. Then give it a wipe around with white vinegar. Get some bicarbonate of soda and put some in a cup which you place in the dryer. Leave this overnight then wash out the dryer again in the morning. Put it on to tumble for a little while to make sure it's dry.

It might just smell a little funny because it's new. I often leave clothes overnight in my dryer and it seems okay.

Set the waher at a large load and hot water put bleach in the washer & put some laudnry soap Same amount you would use for a large load. Let it adjitate for a while then stop the washer and let it sit for at least 1 hour. then let it finish the cycle. You could and I used 1\2 cup of armen hammer baking soda for an extra deoderizer But not a must.
This happend to me but it was with work out cloths what a smell gad!! This really worked great.
Good luck!

a repairman told me the best way to get odours out of washing machines is to fill it up with hot water and pour in a cup of white king(bleach) let it stand overnight and the next morning run the machine as you would usually on a cleaning cycle.

Hi All-
I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I am a proud new mommy and for my shower a friend gave me a gift basket of products from The Laundress. My son has really sensitive skin and we tried a bunch of different washing detergents to avoid irritation, but so far, The Laundress is the only that wroks. So if you have a child or know of one with really fussy skin, The Laundress Baby Detergent is the way to go!

Washing machine RIP - my trusty washing machine has reached the end of its' life.

I bought it ten years ago and the bearings are going! It made such a noise today that I thought the house was going to fall down! My toddler was terrified and I tried to hang on to it to stop the noise, but it didn't work and me and the toddler spent 5 scary minutes until it stopped spinning! *LOL*

Ten years isn't bad though is it? I can't afford a new one, so will have to get a second-hand one :-(

Hi i dont know if this will work but you could try puting washing powder in the drum and running it on a quick cycle.
