| Ok another one that sure I can preech about but am totally guilty of myself. Looking back, Lexi my oldest now 6 was very little when she started getting fixated on cartoons... barney, s.s., veggietales, ect. I used to worry about it a lot but looking back I really believe it was good for her. She learned so much from PBS. Not to say I didnt teach her too but obviously I wasnt a 24 hr tutor to my 1 year old!! She caught on to things when I didnt even realize it. My point to this is as long as you believe it is actually good for him, let him. But that doesnt mean just cut out all mommy time and loaf in front of the couch all day either!!! ↑ |

| Yes Amanda I am with the other ladies...my kids have learned so much form those good programs. PBS and if you get something like we have in Canada....Treehouse Television. Loaded with educational tv for kids. Thats all I really allowed them to watch other than Disney movies. And your doing fine. As Michele says in moderation....play...outside...walks...park....and kids tv. ↑ |
| Oh....one show I just hated....that little flippin Calliou....oh I would turn that off asap!!!! Since I knew nothing except SS and Barney when my daughter was young....I quickly learned of that cartoon. I hate it. I see that they are trying to tell a good story....a granny tell what he is doing and what he should do.....blah, blah, blah....but the thing is the kids are tuning into the little boy and his nasty behavior..."I dont like that" I dont want to play with..Rosie." I dont, I dont.....ya know... personally I cant stand the sound of that characters voice. So when I noticed my daughter starting to mimic that crap....and figured out where it was coming from.....that was the end of it!!!!!! Never again to be on in this house LOL! Yes ,I guess I should have been more watchfull...but good old mom was making the best of the time by doing laundry...dishes...picking up toys..ya know. And it was PBS...Treehouse....so it took a bit to catch on....not long...and when I did 'click"! ↑ |
