Hi my washing machine leaked all over my kitchen floor yesterday we found out that the draw was stuffed up with powder so we cleaned it out and just put it on a cylce to see what would happen.
It did not leak so we think that this is the problem.
We are going to try washing liqued instead of powder do you think this will stop it from happening?

sounds like that must have been it. but i'd try only running it while you're making dinner so you can watch it for a couple cylces. those things sure can make a mess if they leak for a while (mine sprung a leak while i was gone and flooded everything a few years back).

Hi girls...well old maxie is something of a fixitrepair person. You cant imagine...from toys....to washers. I fix everything in my house. Once even told my husband how to fix his cherrypicker machine at work. Just from what he told me.

Leaking machine....likely the pump.......or if you lucky...just a hose that has managed to come loose. Dont be afraid of those things...I mean the inside. They are just simple .... oh so simple. See if you can get hubby to move it and open it up....run it through a cycle...without clothes naturally and first have a look. Naturally touch nothing at this time.....electricty and water...ouch....ya just never know. If you spot the leek. Turn the timer to the drain clyle and then to the off position. Unplug!!!!!!!!!!!

The part should come out easy enough.....there is usually a cam over the pump....so dont forget to put it back on once the new part is in. The new one goes in the same way the old one came out. No big deal. Parts are usually marked with a number....if not and even it call any part department shop and let them know make and model #. Take the thing with you when you pick up the new one just to be certain it is the correct on.

Oh ladies and do not leave the old part with the shopkeeper.....not unless he is willing to give you a deal on the new one. He is only going to repair it and resell it. Or rob parts from it.........this really goes for anything like this ever. So in otherwords......he is charging you full price wants the old one to charge someone else near full price...........hummm. Why on your dime......? And too.......it could just be a seal or o ring that is in need of replacement. So be very carefull.

If you have some of the newer funky all light up like a insterment panel on an airplane........still the pump and so on is still going to be the same idea. If there is anyway around haveing some guy come to your house to charge you an arm and a leg for really trust me nothing..............DONT. IT IS SUCH A RIPOFF. Good gosh even if your motherboard on the new washers goes.....you can get at it ya know.....not tough at all. And just do the same thing.....in with that get a new one toss it in the garbage yourself. Or get a deal.

Hope this helps hon......ask Maxie anytime for this kind of thing.

Hi, maxieellis
I moved my washer and it was tough. My hubby is deployed so I have to try and figure things out. There are some people who are good at fixing things and I am not one of them. I know the leak comes from the bottom of the washer and I am going to have to call a repair person to fix it. My mom is really good at these things, but I complicate things LOL. Thanks for your advice I did not think of the possibility of getting shocked.
