OK so when we were going into town today for my scan there was this truck that looked like a wide load as I got a bit closer it went onto our side of the road a bit and I thought oh yeh he will get on his side, the next thing he is all on my side coming head on for us.I freaked out.I slowed right down and started flashing my lights.I was ready to go off the road and through the fence. The truckie must have realized or woke up what ever the hell he was doing and he went back onto his side he didnt even stop or anything I was nearly having a heart attack.I didnt think at the time to take his number plate and report him for dangerous driving.I had my son and a friend in the car too.It was the scariest thing I have ever experienced. And to make it worse over the last 2 weeks there have been at least 4 truck accidents becasue the driver went to sleep 2 of them fatal.

yikes! i gotta say i don't know how truck drivers do it. i get sleepy after 2 hours of driving - i can't imagine having to drive all night long w/out stopping...i would suck at that job. glad you are ok though.

that is just too dangerous. my father-in-law use to drive long distance in 18 wheelers. i can't count how many times he's told ryan (my husband, his son) he's fell asleep behing the wheel. he would go 17 hours without no sleep just to be able to get to a place he was going on time. truck drivers are only supose to go 12 with no sleep, then pull over and sleep for 4...i think...it's around that number. it would make so so darn mad...but honestly i'm glad he stopped driving, b/c it seems like he was way too dangerous to be out on the road.
