Hi Angela, Wow 5! You're a brave woman! Nice to meet you! I read your post on the lazy husband thread and I'm so sorry for you! It really sucks when men don't pull their weight! I guess that's why God made women so strong!
I'm always here to listen and help if I can!

hi Angela
I am pregnant with my fifth child and and I am so nervous because it is so hard with the 4. I have 3 boys 9, 6, 3 and one girl she is 1. I think this one is a girl also. I have the same kind of lazy husband. He thinks because he works and I stay at home that he never has to change a diaper or help with the kids at all when he gets home. He gets to nap all the time and if I do he says thats all I ever do lol yah right, I am really lucky if I can sneak a nap in at all. He never says he'll watch the kids while I rest, ever. So dont feel bad you are not alone. I dont know how much sanity I am going to have after this baby is born...I am actually worried of a nervous breakdown. Its too much for one person to handle.

Michelle,
Congrats on the new baby!!
I'm lucky in a way, my hubby although he is a butthead half the time, he at least cuddles and naps with the baby, he even changes her diapers, he don't feed her on time, so by the time he is through trying to quite her by playing with her, I have a really upset baby to feed. I'm still trying to work on that!
Now with him not working around the house, that is completely different! He won't even take out the trash, granted he is gone 5 days a week, but still he can do what he can when he is home, I don't think I posted this but we got into a BIG argument last week and I guess it worked because he did get at least more stuff done then usual this last weekend, half done, but still it is progress!
Now on the nervous breakdown part, I actually suffered post partum depression and I did not get ANY help what so ever on the family side of things, I'm still dealing with high anxiety and panick attacks, but I learned how to control them with out drugs. I went to the ER not to long ago for heart palpulations due to stress and exhaustion. Even after I went to the ER and had a paper stating that all this was going on I still didn't get help from family or so called friends! I think I had one panick attack after I went to the doc, but so far everthing as been good. I found a web site that actually helps you get some what organized and all, I posted it on another thread, (hopfully it didn't get deleted), so now I still do everthing I did before, but it isn't so stressful now.
Also, the ladies helped me out here, I not only have my five kids, but I started babysitting a 1 yr old, when my daughter was like 2 or 21/2 months old, It was horrible at first, but the ladies here brought up some things that I was overlooking and it made me put things in perspective!
I will ALWAYS be here if you need someone to talk to!!! And the other ladies are GREAT here too!

hi kristen,
i'm stephanie and found this great site about 5 months ago. i love it, but i just wish some of the girls here would stay better connected, i know we are all busy mommies, though. i am 21 and have 2 year old twin girls. emily (emma) and samantha (sam). you all seem much bussier than me with, 4 or 5. how do you do it??? i want four though, maybe next year we'll try for another one. well, welcome to the board! and i live in wichita, kansas but my mother in law and husbands family live in mansfield texas. i love texas, there are so many amazing christian mom's i have met visiting there. nice to meet you!

Hey Angela, I go to Vegas about once a year! Maybe we can have lunch sometime!

Hey Stephanie! I almost had twins twice but it wasn't in the cards I guess! I'm so glad you wrote me! Next time your in Mansfield let me know! We are about 25 minutes from there! We can have a playdate or just have lunch!

I've learned that with time things get easier! With my first children I wanted everything to be perfect. Now I realize it can't be that way so I go to bed a night knowing I did the best I could do! And yes sometimes I lose my temper or my mind but I think that just comes with being an almost single mom of four!
Just don't ever feel like your a bad mom!
Oh and I've learned through experience not to buy my kids anything unless it's birthday or christmas! It makes going to the store with them so mch easier!

Okay I'll stop rambling! Sorry! if you ever feel like e mailing me! I'm at [email protected]

angela,
this may be personal, but i read your reply on this board, and i was just wondering how you deal with your anxiety and panic attacks without drugs. i am dealing with this myself. i am the young 21 year old mom with 2 year old twins. it has been very difficult for me to deal with this because i am a christian, and i think to myself that i shouldn't be this way with a relationship with god and that he can make me better. i have been on meds on and off, which i know is the worst thing you can do, but you know how money is tight with kids, some months i can afford it and some i can't. i haven't been on it for about 2 months and i was doing really good until about a week ago. i am trying to avoid going back on them, maybe it's just pms, or stress of the holidays, or just having 2 2yearolds! i would love your advice and info on how you are handling it.

Angela thanks so much for your words of encouragement. I felt like I was the only woman in the world gonig through this. I dont have any help from family or friends either, Unless they have been through severe depression they will never understand. And the guy I'm with thinks its all in my head, LOL, i wish thats all it was. Theres days where it takes everything out of me just to get out of bed in the morning but I have my kids, and as hard as it is, I have to pull myself together for them. They always manage to put a smile on my face no matter how bad I feel. My three year old son says every morning "I love you Mom, your the best" It melts me. He is so special in so many ways. And my one year old daughter is wild and crazy and she makes some of the funniest faces I have ever seen. So, everything in life isnt bad. I feel my kids are the ONLY thing that keep me going day to day. Without them I dont know where I would be. Sorry, I didnt mean to ramble on and whine lol, it feels good to get things out to people who actually care to listen. Thanks again for your support. Keep in touch!

Michelle,
I forgot to mention, the last time mine told me it was in my head, I told him, "yeah, actually it is, it is a chemical imbalance" then I started going how that happens and all that, you should have seen his face! LOL!! Anyhow that first weekend after I told him about the post partum depression, he did do dishes, cook and clean the house. After that I guess he just figured I was ok!

Anxiety and panic attacks, as well as heart palpitations, sweat, weak muscels and shaky hands may be indicators of hyperthyroidism. It is overactive thyroid, one that produces too much hormons. Constant tiredness and lethargy may be a sign of hypothyroidism (underproductive thyroid). Thyroid is often overlooked since the signs are easy to confuse with depression or something else. Please make your doctor check it (take a blood test) next time you see the doctor. Untreated thyroid problems may lead to damage in various organs, Grave's Desease and infertility. Thyroid disorders mostly strike females of reproductive age. Search for "hyperthyroidism "on Google, look at the signs.
