To those of you that have or will be having babies soon, what theme are you using? I went with Winnie The Pooh for baby #1 and now I am working on baby #2's room, which will be Star Night Star Bright (it is animals mainly bears, stars, and moons). ↓

I didn't know what I was having but we used the Barnyard theme from Babies R Us and my aunt paintes a mural on the wall, its adorable ↑ |
We're doing Pooh Days of Hunny, which is sage green and cream colored. I am buying the matching stroller/carseat travel system, swing, pack n' play, and bedding... but that's all they sell in that theme (all of those are at walmart.com if you want to see the design). I am having to improvise with the rest of the decor and just use white Pooh stuff and add my own sage fabric and accents. I plan to either add more pink touches, or blue, after I find out the gender. I tried to find twin bedding to match (my older stepson will be sleeping in baby's room) but couldn't find any Pooh themed ones yet. I may have to use plain green. ↑ |
Nicole,
You need to get the book Baby Bargans (fith edition). It reviews different products for price, safety, & how people really felt. I found it a great resource. ↑ |
Was there something in there bad about the Days of Hunny stuff Stacy? ↑ |
My daughters baby room was winnie the pooh and my son's was Noahs ark. I miss the baby years BooHoo :( ↑ |
Nicole,
Sorry my computer bumped me off the internet.
I can't recall anything bad about the days of hunny stuff, but I had a 4th edition & gave it to a friend after my baby was born.
I would suggest buying the book before you make any large purchases. It really has one of the best things. It has some really great ideas on gettitng the best for your buck. ↑ |
With my first baby I did winnie the pooh because when we purchased our bedding we were not sure as to whether we were having a boy or girl and we got it on clearance(http://ethan.rohde-net.us).
I am currantly pregnant with second and my husband and I have decided to wait until we found out the gender of our baby. For some odd reason he seems to think that we are going pink if we are having a girl. ↑ |
I helpped paint my neices room Princess style. Painted castels fairies butterflies rinbows fluffly clouds in a forest we made some part 3 it came out so cool.Colors are blues purples and pinks.
My other niece theme was Raggdy Anne & Andy ...Any one remember them Old blast from the past. ↑ |
MY LITTLE BOYS ROOM IS DECKED OUT WITH THOMAS THE TANK ENGENIE ↑ |
#1 was Noahs Ark
#2 was teddy Bears
#3 I want to do primary colors with a circus theme but cant seem to find anything anywhere. Any ideas? ↑ |
My daughters room is RaggedyAnn N Andy. It is pretty cute! And my sons room is in Girrafes (sp). His room is really cute too! ↑ |
My daughter's room is done in Lamb's and Ivy Sweet as a Daisy. If she had been a boy, we found a cute frog theme that was also Lamb's and Ivy. ↑ |
My daughter's room is done in a garden theme. I painted a white picket fence around the room with flowers above it. My sons room is in my husbands favorite sports team. I guess my son has no choice on who to root for. ↑ |
Haven't picked out a theme for my second baby yet. I thought about doing a mural of the white picket fence and flowers like Jen had mentioned. I say this really cute pink and purple dragon fly crib bedding and I thought the flower garden would work great with dragon flies.
For a boy, I have no clue. Haven't really found anything that I liked. I saw a frog crib set that I thought was cute, but once I looked at the price tag it really wasn't that cute anymore. Then there was the barn yard bedding that I thought was cute. Thought I could paint a mural on one of the walls with a barn, the paint the other walls blue, make some clouds and on the bottom I could paint grass.
I really want to go with something that will allow me to paint and become creative. ↑ |
