It can be very normal, depending on your body. It can take a body some time to get re-regulated, especiallysince you are breastfeeding.
It is an old wifes tale that you can't get pregnant while breastfeeding. Are you using some kind of protection when you have intercourse? If not you may want to take a home pregnancy test.

| I am BF my 4 month old and I haven't had a period yet although I have alot of spotting as well, my midwife told me its the normal hormonal response escpecially when baby is going through a growth spurt and nursing more often. As far as what Stacy said about getting pregnant, you may want to do your own research, most of the info I have found says that if you are exclusive, feeding on demand and baby is still night nursing your chances of pregnancy is only 2% during the first 6 months. By taking a home pregnancy test, would only insure giving the best pre-natal care one can give.
