My dad called and had me follow him somewhere so he could drop off a car to someone and then give him a ride back home. From the moment I got the call anxiety started building up in me. I'm now back home again and I'm panicky and shaky. Why does this happen? I was always intimidated by my dad growing up but now that I'm an adult and living on my own I don't understand why whenever I'm around him or even just having to talk to him I'm full of anxiety and feel as if I'm about to be severely scolded or beat. Why do I feel this way?

maybe there's something your dad did that scared you as a child but you can't remember it.

My dad was angry alot and still is today. My mom thinks he's bipolar. But why do I still feel like a scared child whenever I have to be around him? Shouldn't it not bother me anymore? Do any of you understand what I mean exactly, like do any of you have your own personal experience like this with a parent?
