My 6 month old daughter went to the doctor and got her shots on 8/14 and last night (early this morning) 8/16 she was very irritable. She fussed from 12:30am-4:00 am this morning and nothing I did made her stop. I gave her tylenol, I rubbed her back , massaged her tummy, fed her, changed her diaper, cuddled her and nothing worked. Finally my husband came and got her and laid her down in her crib where she screamed for 30 minutes before falling alseep. I am scared to death that this is going to happen again tonight! I am a working mother who has to be up for work at 6:30 am so I got very very little sleep last night and my nerves are shot today from all the crying that I did last night. Any suggestions as to what else I could try if this happens again tonight?

It could be just the shots or she could be teething. Teething was a HUGE sleep distrupter for my now 18 month old son. Plus developmental things can change a good sleeper to a poor one. Is she getting ready to crawl?

You are talking to a mother of two HORRIBLE sleepers (from day one) so I will help as much as I can. I would give it a few days and see if this is a new pattern or just a blip on the radar. Keep your same routine as much as possible.

Call your doctor if you havent already. THis type of behavior is not so typical of shots. Sounds like something else might be up!
