Does anyone out there have an ADHD /ODD child whose "smart mouth" and back-talk are out of control? Mine is extremely mouthy, demanding, and completely uses the wrong tone. Also- his temper seems to escalate more and more the older he gets. He can throw a really good temper tantrum, stomping feet, throwing things, kicking things, etc. Of course, we don't let these things slide and there are consequences for poor choices made on his part; I was just wondering if this was typical of other children with these diagnoses. He is on medication and has been for a while now- are there any that help w/ temper as well?

He has horrible fits and screams at me and treats me terrible the older he is getting the worse I think. What worries me is how bad is going to be if I don't do something now to fix it?? Any suggestions on how to cope without totaly loosing it?

YES!!! His mouth and tone are getting him in so much trouble. He doesn't do that with other adults, only his dad and I!!! He isn't a behavior problem at school, he just can't focus.
