My son tried to climb out his window today!! he said he wanted to know what it was like to fall!! OMG!! Im going to the drs today and telling him what happened im really starting to think adhd was a HUGE mis diagnoses and its the farthest thing from adhd!! I think hes like bi polar or spilt personality or something !! Anyone got any other ideas i caould give the dr i want looked into?? HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLPPPPP!!! ↓

| hi ericsmom, my 12 yr old believes he can jump out of his bedroom and not hurt himself, thankfully he has not done it, yet! he is ADHD and has no perception of fear. he does climb on top of shop, school and garage roofs. one time he climbed up a tree and could not get down!!! by chance an off duty police officer was going past and rescued him. i dont know wot the answer is cos my son has an obession with fire, he burns things in his bedroom and will start little fire outside, i constantly talk about the dangers to himself and to others but it has made no difference cos he believes he wont get hurt....worrying isnt it wot our kids can get up too, wendy ↑ |

| thanks for just saying im not alone it helps dr said that we r going to do tests for everything cuz if we dont soon find something that works hes afraid that im going to end up hospitalised cuz ive lost over 60 lbs in less then 5 months cuz of the stress not that im complaining but even i know its not healthy for me so i will keep yous posted and pray something works or shows up ↑ |

| hi,ericsmom, i know where your coming from. my 6 year old daughter has adhd, odd. both combined is hell. i also believe she has been misdiagnosed, b/c she can be happy, and loving one minute, and the next minute, she's ready to hurt someone. i believe she's bi-polar. she's been in the mental hospital twice, for trying to kill her siblings. she no longer lives with me, but with my brother. seeking medical advice. i took her to every doctor around us, and got nothing. they used her as a guiny pig, and kept us going around in a circle. it came to the decision, to show her tough love, and try to get her help while she is young, or take a risk of loosing all three of my children. i know how you feel, all you can do is pray that god will touch him, or direct you to the right doctor that will help him. ↑ |

| hi,wendylacey, as where your son is obsessed with fire, my daughter is obsessed with blood. her thing is she scratches herself to pieces, and when you ask her why, she says she likes to see the blood go down her legs and arms. that is so sad. she hangs on bathroom doors at school. she was so destructive at home, putting holes in the walls. but the sad thing about it is, i know someone who has a 12 yr. old son, and every since he was 3 or 4 they have tried to seek help. thousands of dollars, years later, and numerous doctors later, they are still in the same boat. he now has gotten worse and tries to kill everyone who does'nt give him his way. his father said, all they get is the runaround. the doctors still don't know what's wrong with him. not trying to scare or disapoint you, but sometimes this happens to certain people. i know these kids cant help their illness, but other people don't see what your dealing with, and they are so quick to make remarks that really hurt your feelings. and that in itself makes me feel like a loser. ↑ |
