My son is 14. He was diagnosed with ADHD at age 7. He does not have anger management problems and for the most part is very easy going. The major problems We have 2 major problems. 1. He is very smart. Usually makes the best test scores in his class but fails because he does not do homework. 2. Does not ( or can not?) exibit self control. Spends all day with computer, t.v. and video games. I have tried punishment and rewards but these are brick walls that simply do not move.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any advise or comments would be gladly accepted.

Do you work with a psychologist? My son was just diagnosed and is starting right away with a psychologist to do behavior therapy.

i have two sons like that. one is adhd, tourettes syndrome and autistic tendencies the other is aspergers autistic..... the symptoms you are describing pertain more to aspergers of high functioning autism than adhd...... ask to have him reassessed.
