I went to an adoption seminar (my daughter was 6.5 when she moved in) and the psychologist/psychiatrist talked about drug cocktails to help our kids function. I wish I knew where all the info was. Her name is Dee Paddock and she's in Denver...or was when she did the seminar. She talked about risperdal. I asked the doc to put my daughter on it based on what I learned from Ms. Paddock. The doc didn't even ask about it...it has given my daughter emotions. It has made her talk. Now she's hitting puberty - she's 12.5 - she's not as reasonable but hey... It's a struggle and a HUGE decision...all the best. Let me know how it works out! ↑ |

i have a 6 yr old diagnosed with adhd and possible odd, they say odd but for now they dont want it on his records. they will retest him again when hes in grade 3 to make sure. he is on resperdal and concerta. this helps with his inpuse control. he was diagnosed with paper work as well but also with a n sycheducational testing witch took a year process but you could get this privately and get results way sooner. hope this helps. ↑ |

my son is 9 and has been taking risperdal for overa year and it is a good scent to my family. the only thing I found is that he has put on some weight because they get hungry about an hour after taking it . good luck nikki30l ↑ |

I would suggest getting more than just your peds diagnosis. I had the school pych test and at least 2 child pychs and therapist. I hated gving my daughter meds. But it has def made a difference. ↑ |
