Strattera takes any where from 2-4 weeks to work. The thing about Strattera is it doesnt work that well for impulsive or hyper activity. Asually strattera works well along with a stimulant. My son is 11 and takes 100 ml. Strattera and 25 2x aday Ritalin. The combination of these 2 drugs work very well. Strattera is a mood altner drug it helps with the stimulant melt downs. Michael has been on this combination for 2 years.

ok I have a 10 year old son that has ADHD but the only thing that I found that works for him is concerta. Ask your doctor about that. I was on strattera for mine and it didn't work. I felt worst.

Rigth now it is 6:47 in the morning. I don't have a problem with my son going to bed and getting the dogs going. When he doesn't take his meds then he does and he also runs after his sisters around the house. By that time I'm reminding him that he hasn't taken it. I would tell that doctor that you guys have that you want to try concerta. It works so much better and it is up to you what you want your son on not the doctors.

My daughter was on Strattera for almost 2 years and it never really worked all that great for her. I was told that they found out it was harmful to the kidneys if taken for prolonged periods of time.

my daughter is on strattera and it took 4-6 weeks before I saw any significant changes, and I have been told by other mothers that sometimes it takes up to 8 wks. before you see any results. Be patient and things should be better soon.
