sounds like OCD. Concerta is no good for OCD, if that is what your son has. Your doc might try something like focalin or depakote. ↑ |

For next time, I would suggest that you visit the Food and Drug Adminstration website before giving any drugs. It is very normal for side effects to show up a long time after he is on the drugs. The behavior that you described is written right there as one of the many side affects. He has healthy brain cells in the beginning. When behavior modification drugs kill or damage enough brain cells, the behavior (ie side effects) starts to florish. It is all on the Food and Drug Administration website. Changing to another drug with different side affects would make life much easier for you. ↑ |

Dear Elaine I know how you feel, my son is eight he acts exactly the same as your son. I want to know if there is some kind of intensive anger management course out there we can put our kids into so they can learn how to manage there anger better. ↑ |
