This is a first for me on a chat room. Wondering if there is anyone out there who has had their life turned upside down by a step son who has made some poor choices and a daughter and subsequently family that has sufferred because of it? Will it ever get back to normal?? Any words of wisdom, encouragement or reality checks would help. Thanks to anyone with the courage to respond to this not so nice topic. ↓

Ours isn't turned upside down by my stepson's choices, it is his mother's choices. He is 6 and some of the things she has him do or allows him to do has disrupted our household more than once. ↑

Hello,
I have been lucky that I haven't had to deal with that situation but myself have had to deal with step brother who was a real looser. The best thing you can do is protect your daughter as best you can. And if things get real bad you have to tell the boys father. He is not your son and the father needs to do his best to protect you and you entire family....even if its from his own son.
