| The good web site for the two and half years old is TACA web site. (talk about cure autism). You can try as much as you can when he is young. Now they are many type of autism mix together. Nobody knows what cause them. I meet a lot of autism parents. A few of their children recover. Some of them improve their skill when they grows up. But still a large number of them can't live by themselves when they are adults. They still have communication problem and behavior problem. My son Edward got autism diagnosis when he was two and four months old. Then we find DAN doctor for him. We do gluten free and diary free for him. He got very high mercury. DAN doctor use medicine to remove his mercury. We do speech therapy, OT, sound therapy, music therapy, ABI. He was very lucky one. He can go to the mainstream school. With my experience, the biomedical is the most important. The sound therapy is very important too because he is scared a lot of noise. Now he is OK. The dog cure his hugging problem. ( before he can only hug by me). Then the OT and ST. Also I am at home to teach him after school. He is a very smart boy now. Still he has some difference from the normal children. But at least he can speak everything. He got a good memory. He is very good at reading book. His compression still behinds the normal kid but improving a lot. His social skill still behind the normal kid. But he likes to play with other kid now but often repeat asking the same questions. I know about one hundred autism kids. He is the lucky one. Some of my friends has the same DAN doctors with me, their sons or daughters improve their skills but not as fast as my son. Maybe every child is different. Maybe I did earlier. I met two other autism boy who is six years old now. Their condition is better than my son. I think they are normal kids now. They are aspergers now. They speak a lot and talk to you a lot. I don't see they repeat asking question. My ST and OT says my son is aspergers in the future. Bumble bee baby help my son talk when he is young. Then reading eggs help my son to learn to read. My son is four years and eight months. His reading skill is very high. My ST said his reading skill like eight years old kid. I am very happy my son from low function autism to high function. It takes two and a half years hard work. Sometimes I still stress but much better now. Think about they told me only to teach him how to hold the spoon, how to eat, how to dress him. Look like he will disable whole his life. How stressful. Remember how stressful to send him to the normal preschool. How stressful to see him struggle there. Remember he has no friend before and how many scaring he has. Only when he can speak, he can tell me. Love your son as much as you can, try to do biomedical as soon as possible. Also watch out your budget. Autism means a lot of money to spend. ↑ |
