My 4 year old autistic son has been doing great for weeks now. But all of a sudden this week he is a different boy again. He is just going crazy....aggressive, hyper, moody, doing inappropriate things all the time, making lots of noises, repeating words and phrases. And he his having frequent meltdowns again. What could be causing all this? He was doing so well controlling all his issues.

I also wanted to add that he is not on any special diet so nothing has changed with that.

Did you have a recent change? New classroom? New addition to your day? Are you gone more? Is somebody else gone more or somebody new around? Changes can bring on behaivors I noticed. Maybe just examine what has been going on recently and if anything changed at all? Or if he has regressive autism...well then they regress sometimes and you'll see that happen. I hope you can figure it out. Good luck to you!

Hi Fran,
I have found that many a times when my son acted/acts up in ways similar to your son it was/is often due to him being constipated or some other physical bother (head ache, stomach ache, etc.)--also, an impending happening he may know of (family coming to visit/school starting/you or dad going someplace soon, etc). Anxiety is my son's signal to us that something is going on that may or may not ignite unless we step in to intercept...Good luck to you and I would like to know what it was when you find out!

Cod liver oil really helps.... not only the autistic brain but it also will boost any person's immune system. The healing is gradual. My son, has been healing gradually from ASD with CLO and other supps. There;s more Dr. Megson info on the web. Also check out Dr. Yasko at www.holistichealth.com. Love, Jack's Mom
