well im loving being a new mom now, but one thing that gets me is how can a child be so happy with boob , and not take a passy?? She refuses breastmilk in a bottle. I dont try to give it to her that way but my husband will when im off running an erands, that i cant toke her with me. it scares me . Sh ewill starve herself befor she takeds that bottel. And after she eats it ok put you down resume with cleaning or cooking or coloring with my 3 yr old , its snuggl me mommy or i will wake up and never stop crying untill i get boob agian. Is my baby the only bay that has a fit when she sees me lift my shirt??? Is too much boob a bad thing. I do enjoy the snuggling though. :)

Whew glad I am not the only one. My son gets estatic when I raise my shirt and also refuses the bottle, he is four months and just started taking the binky, only at night or in the car though. He wants to be held 24/7 by mommy only! A couple weeks ago he had a cold and the MD suggested pedialyte to help relieve congestion, and because he refuses the bottle I thought I might try the sippy cup, and yep he drank it, at 4 months! Crazy isn't it? At least we won't have to wean from the breast and the bottle.

That kinda sounds like what I'm going through too. My 19 day old daughter is loving the boob, and will nurse for ever it seems. Anyway when she falls asleep I'll sneek her over and lay her down so I can get some things done and sure enough she'll wake up and start crying and make me nurse her again until she falls asleep.
I was actually scared to try the binky cause I was afraid she'd get to use to that shape, but it seems as though I should give it a shot.

I understand about the little ones not wanting to be let go of...my almost 2 year old son is still always wanting to be cuddled, but then again, I nursed him until he was 18 months plus. I found that these worked really well for snuggling the little one, and still getting things done... http://www.mayawrap.com/

Tonya, I have 3 kids 4,2 and 7 months and nursed all three. they are all the same way did not want anything but the boob. I nurse on demand and still was able to stop nursing them 4 and 2 year old by the time they were 1 year.

Wow those wraps look neat but are sure made out of some interesting patterned fabric! I just bought (actually my mom bought) an Infantino EruoRider from target yesterday and put in on while we were still shopping. My 3 week old fell asleep right away it was awesome. And it was only $24.99 and not $60 to $80 like those others.
