First off i will say a big HELLO.
I am Cheryl and mum to 8 year old Harry.
I am a member of U.K Parent's but i have heard through the grapevine that you are a great bunch on here, and willing to give advice when needed.
So here goes!

My best friend's mother had a stroke last spring/summer,she recovered from it very well.Infact when i saw her a few week's ago you wouldnt even have thought that she had,had a stroke.

Well yesterday morning,my friend noticed that her mother's speech was all over the place and she said that she was not making much sense.

My friend starting ringing NHS direct ,she heard a loud thud and went to check on her mother.
She found her lying on the floor with a big cut to the back of her head(she caught her head on the kitchen side as she fell)my friend called a ambulance.
They rushed her into hospital.
She is now in ICU they say that she is in a diabetic coma and she has a 50/50 chance.

She has had a ct scan to look for any bleed's on her brain and her sugar level's are 67.
We were unaware that she was diabetic, the doctor has said that she developed it in the last month or so.

I think what i am asking is do any of you know what her chance's of recovering may be that is if any of you have ahd any experence with diabetics.

She is not breathing on her own,a machine is doing that for her.

67 on the sugar really isn't that low. Its hard to determine the outcome of this without more info.
