| I was wondering that too, mostly for the gender. I'm really nervous about the tech getting it wrong on the medical ultrasound. I'd like to go in at 16 or 17 weeks just to see what I'm having, even if the features aren't quite as visible then. ↑ |
I had my first doc appointment today, and she is sending me for one @12 weeks.
In Canada it's covered so forsure I want to get one. Also she said since I am over 30 she wants its done too. I will let you know how it goes. ↑ |
I'm 18 weeks along, and I'm getting one in 5 weeks. They say if you're only going to get one wait until at least 22 weeks, but I've heard of people getting them as early as 14 weeks and seeing defined features. They're kinda pricey about $150/ session, but they have package specials where you can get two for $275 and so on. I would just check with your local clinic. I'm actually going to be getting a 3D ultrasound this time around. I'm so excited. Yes you can see the features of your baby's face. I have a feeling that with the 3D determining the sex of you baby is alot easier as well.
My friend had one done and it's so cool. I definately think it worth going to get. I'm not sure as far as cost goes since cost varies depending on where you are from. More and more clinics and hospitals are going 3D. ↑ |
| I had a 3D ultrasound with my son when i was 24 weeks and you could see EVERYTHING!! It was really neat! They even gave me a dvd of the ultrasound which i believe was about 30 minutes! It was very relaxing and my mom, my step mom, mother in law and fiance were all there to see it so it was extra special!! I would definetely recommend getting it done! I am getting one for this pregnancy in august around 25 weeks! I get half off my session because I am a repeat customer within a 2 year span!! YAY! Good luck!! ↑ |

I just had a 3D ultrasound done of my baby last week at 26 weeks, and you could see all the features and everything. My technician was able to tell me the sex of my baby which happens to be a Girl! yay. lol. But we got 32 pics on cd and got it all recorded onto a dvd and got two printed pics. It was the best half hour of my life.
My baby moved around alot which made it hard sometimes to see her, but I would definetly recommend going if you have the chance. ↑ |
