Hey, I am due on 30th October, but yesterday, I had to go to the hospital as I had cramps and spotting. They did a scan, and they said that the gestation sac was visible and the right size, but no heartbeat was recorded. The guy doing the scan said I could be miscarrying, and to come back in 2 weeks for another scan. When I went back up to see the gynae nurse, she said the heartbeat shouldnt be visible yet, and just to wait for the next scan. Why wouldnt the sonographer just say that. Also, the local midwife said that I was probably miscarrying as my breeasts werent as tender and I wasnt as nauseous as on previous days, but today my breasts are ao aore I can hardly touch them!! Im just a bit scared, should I be so worried? Has anyone else gone through this, its my 2nd pregnancy, I have DD who is 6 yrs old, Ive never felt so upsety in all of my life. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks alot...Amanda xx

i understand your typo, np..
sonographer are idiots, well the one that did my scan at 6 weeks was, cause he said the same thing,
then i went back 2 weeks later and all was fine, how do they expect to see a heart beat when you can barely make out what they are looking at is a baby, so if baby was size of a pea, how big is the heart,
dont worry Amanda youll see that your baby will be just fine!
all the best and God bless

I would ask for a blood test to check your HCG levels if you levels are high than you should be fine but if your levels have not doubled or tripled than you do have something to worry about. I wish you the very best!
