Im 38 weeks today and Im having cramping in my pelvic area and I was wondering if thats a sign of labor or does your water have to break before labor starts? Any Advice please!

No, your water doesnt have to break first. Is the pain something that can be timed? Do they feel like period cramps? Usually in the bginning thats what they feel like then they keep getting more and more intense and closer and closer.

Sometimes the water doesn't break until you are actually pushing your baby out. just watch and wait for things to get harder maybe you are starting labor.

Only 10% of the time will a womens bag of waters break as the first sign of labor. Hope that your water doesn't break until you start pushing because it's extra cushioning for those contractions and makes it less painful :) Keep us updated if you are in fact in labor. Best of luck sweety!

no it doens' t have to break for you to go into labor. If they come every 5 to 10 minutes I would call your doctor but if they come and then go and then come again like 15 min later they are just braxton hicks.
