No. As my labour was induced, I had to lie flat on my back through labour strapped to a machine which monitored my contractions and Joey's heartbeat. It was Hellish! ↑ |
Nicole, this is your second baby yeah? Haven't you experienced contractions before? or was your first an elective C Section? ↑ |
I've been having braxton hicks for many weeks now and from what I've been told they should ease up when when you lay on your side or walk around, but I've had some that come at regular intervals for an hour or two and only get worse when I lay or move. You need to make sure you are drinking plenty of water because dehydration can cause contractions as well and I remember a few weeks ago when you said your urine was extremely dark and that was probably from being dehydrated. With my first pregnancy I went into the hospital and was 4cm and they gave me pitocin to keep things moving because of my severe preeclampsia and as bad as these contractions can be that I'm getting now, it's nothing like the real labor contractions I felt after the doctors broke my water in the hospital. Even though you didn't have contractions at home with your first you still would have had them in the hospital and I'm sure they were very uncomfortable so once you start feeling like that then you should call your doctor. ↑ |
With my first I didnt feel any BH and when I finally did feel a contraction is was time to push. So contractions r kinda new to me except the pushing one's. :) ↑ |
My goodness. That was lucky! With Joey, I was in labour for 11 hours! ↑ |
lol me too Gill... 11 - 12 hours for me !!!
Btw you are more likely to get Bh on your 2nd baby than your 1st. ↑ |
