Hi. New to the site. Here's my question...

What is the earliest that any of you heard a heartbeat through the Dopler machines that they use at the doctor's office?

I was in today for my pre-admin appointment and I requested to hear the heart. The nurse said that it was too early (8wks 6days). I still wanted to try.

She tried and we heard it - very faintly, but it was there. That puts me one step closer.

Just suffered a m/c in September so I was much more sensitive about this subject today.
