Name: Lola [ Original Post ] Ok...so I got my first period on Sunday and I was almost 8 weeks post partum. It was alright the first couple of days...but yesterday I was bleeding bright red blood heavily. And then today I changed at 7am, woke again at 9 and the bed was covered in blood...I got up to go the toilet and it poured all down my legs all over the carpet and everything. The pad was so covered in blood that I had to take some it off with tissue otherwise it woulda spilled all over the place trying to take it off. I know it's gross...but is it ok...not normal...but ok to bleed like this for your first period? And also when can I start using tampons? ↓

I don't think that is normal, you should probably call your doctor. I'd say you can use tampons as soon as you get a "normal period" or as long as you feel comfortable with them. ↑

my first period after having braden was very bad too. i woke up out of no where and itwas a huge huge clot, about baseball size all over the undies. and then more into the toilet. i called he said if it was like that for more than 1-2 days to come in. but otherwise it was typically normal. ↑

If by later this evening your still bleeding that heavy go to the hospital because for one thing it may make you enimic. Don't start useing tampons until you know for sure everything is ok up there. ↑

you can wear tampons if your obgyn has done the 6 week check up. that was when i got the go ahead to wear them again ↑

Lola my first and second perior were crazy heavy. the second one got me sent to the ER by my gyno. The third was also heavy THey are stiull haevier then before the baby, but not as bad as the frist 3 cycles. ↑

atm i have my 2nd period.. its been dead straight heavy for a few days now.. im changing my tampon every hour almost.. and i have the WORST cramps in the whole world... i never had it this bad before i had isabelle.. ↑

Ah well...it eased it up bit anywho. Thank God. At least I can actually leave the house now without worrying about it. Period's suck. Best part about pregnancy is havin' none. Feck sake. ↑
