I dont have any babies yet, not untill July anyways. But all my girlfriend feeds her baby is finger foods, she is 9 months...almost anything she is eating she will give to the baby as well (which can sometimes get a little messy lol), she isnt on any pureed foods just normal food and milk. She did the same thing with her oldest daughter who is now 3. I would think you would just make sure she is getting everything she needs, veggies, fruit etc.

Nope, it's actually better (IMO) to get them off of the purees as soon as possible. Kaden was onto finger foods completely by 7/8 months.

some baby's absolutely won't let anyone spoon feed them once they start figer food, and that is perfectly fine as long as you are giving them veggies, fruits, and meats

Mia is 6 months and doesn't take purée any more. She likes mash and finger foods. A combo, I never thought she wouldn't ever want slushy porridge / fruit for brekkie. That's weird.
But no harm done

as long as your baby is getting the proper daily amounts of the food groups it doesn't matter in what form as long as shes not eating things that are chocking hazards which i'm sure you already know that! But if you are concerned shes not getting enough of the food groups....fool her w/ her finger foods.....roll peices of bananas in crushed cereal, or you could give her small slices of toast (very small) with something pureed on the top rather than butter or jelly....ect.
