So today is my first vag exam. I know it sounds retarted, but I am kinda nervous. I have been going to the same dr for about 11 years now, but I first started going there when I was 16 and pregnant with jeremiah. I know at that time there were 2 male dr's and a female CNP, but I only saw the dr's. I never felt odd about them doing the exams. Every since I had jeremiah though I see the CNP collene she does all of my paps and deals with any other cooch issues I may be having. Now in the office there is the same male dr that I have always seen and a female dr. I am seeing the male today and I feel like a little school girl or something. I know that my face is going to be totally red when he does the exam. Anyway just thought I'd share. I am getting my strep b test and I hope that they say WOW you are dialated to 5cm LOL fat chance I know but there is nothing wrong with wishful thinking.

Oh yeah one more thing I tried to shave, but I don't know how effective I was LOL

Lol!! I shave before every appt. just in case, and I also make sure my pedicure is fresh - since my feet are up in the air right by the doctor. It's so funny the things we get weird about, and in the end we'd give birth in front of a live audience just to not be pregnant anymore!

I have been trying to shave at least a few times a week so things don't get out of control down there LOL it is hard though becuase I can hardly bend my fat ass over and reach and there is no way I can see what is going on down there. I prob missed a big spot or something LOL. Brandiss I am sure that you will still have your baby first LOL I think mine will stay in for as long as she can. I know that I have not had enough pressure or contractions to even have effaced yet, but like I said there is always wishful thinking :)

I prefer going to a mal doctor to have my pap done, I don't feel comfortable with a female in that area. I also tried to shave for each one of my appointments which is actually kind of funny because at my 6 week follow appointment after Kylie I didn't even bother. I thought about it but by the time I hoped into the bath I was like man this is just to much work for me today.

LOL My best friend has given up all together. She said ti is out of control.Honestly I am sure that the dr doesn't care one way or the other, but I just think that the less things for stuff to stick to during birth the better. I didn't used to think that I cared either way if it was a man or a woman who did the exam, but maybe I jsut feel odd because I have had a woman doing them for close to 10yrs. Plus my dr is the kind of guy who is all cheery like "hay there kido who's it going" and he gives you and your husband a hug after each appointment. he is just kinds cheesy, but a very good christian man and a great dr. It jsut seems nik I am going to have ned flanders off of the simpsoms elbow deep in my cooch LOL

Well this makes me feel more normal. I thought it was just me being paranoid. I also shave before EVERY appointment, just in case. I have a thing about hair, I dont like a lot of hair anywhere but on my head.

I also like it shaved and it's getting more and more challanging!!! I know my hub will gladly do it but I'm afraid he will cut me :-/
I find it helpfull to use very good shower mirror, and luckly I can do dry first even with out water and with out looking. Then I'll correct the rest with water, soap and the mirror., but I'm only 29.5 weeks along. I'm sure it will get even harder :(
I wouldn't worriy about the new drs. around! Screw them if they choose this filed :-p

haha I use gary's clippers to keep it all nice and short at the top and try...(key word being try) to shave everything but a triangle at the top. I looked at it today though and looks more like a rounded off triangle LOL

yes I do, but I know that the biggest problem may be the nerves and if they are connected. I am going to give it my all.

Hi VM2B and Connie!

Jill - I know it's all about which ducts got cut etc... but I think I'm still going try and boost how much comes out of the ones that are intact. I know some of them are from before. I'm curious to see if my body does better the second time around.

I did read that the 1st time helps to rebuild connections and that it is better the 2nd time. I am going to take some supplements too jsut to help in any way I can

Wow! it took me 3 years to convince my hub start trying to consive (sp) He did want another one but the trauma of the divorse + kid was hard on him. Now when I say I want one more he just smiling, and he says I have time till I'm 42. I hope this is a sign it won't be so hard to convince 2nd time around
