Okay so is it true that the first baby is "ALWAYS" late? My mother in law keeps saying it and it's driving me insane. I just shine it on and try to change the subject but she keeps putting her input in when I don't ask so is it true? I'm 21, engaged and all that good stuff and 32 weeks preggers with my first in case anyone was curious. Thanks.

Can't say for everyone, my sister in law was early with both of her babies, I starting labor contractions at 36 weeks and hadto have them stopped. After that, I had to be incduced 10 days after my due date. The whole pregnancy, my Dr. kept telling me she had a feeling that I would go before my due date. Just goes to show you that nobody can predict it. Just ignore your mother in law, she probably didn't get to have her baby early either...

it goes by heredity to. Did your mom go late or early. I know a lot of people that go early. My dr induced me the day after i was due i was lucky he just suggested it i never asked to be. but i still didnt do anything i ended up w/ a c section. your body will do what it does tell your mom in law that it aggervates you and you wish she would stop or just ignore her you ger more aggervated about stuff when your preggo who cares what she says youl go when youll go. I hope you go to days early just for your sake so you feel better and it will be like haha to her

Everyone is different dear...... In my case--My son was my first and he actually came 3 weeks early :) he weighed 7 lbs 4oz and let me tell you---I am glad he came early..He would have been 10 pounds...Anyway--People were always telling me the same thing about the first usually comes late...Well, I have know enough women to know that is not true. I all depends on YOUR body! and if the little one is ready to come out! My second one was right about on time.....She was here about 2 or 3 days before her due date...
Keep positive and just wait it out and see what happens....
Good Luck! :)

When I had my son his due date was December 8th and I had him on December 6th. So no its not true. everyone is different and some women's bodies can hold babies in longer than others (I think.)

with my daughter (who is now 5) my doctor kept telling me that i was going to be over due, my origional due date was 8/31/2000. she was thinking i would deliver her sometime in spetember...i ended up going into labor 6 am 8/28/2000, and she arrived at 6:03 pm....so i think i cut it very close for my first....don't worry about it though...when the baby is ready he-she will let you know...by the way i'm 31 weeks preggo with my son and due 2/8/2006 .

Phew so it's not true. It was driving me insane cause I can't say anything back or else cause she's quote unquote always right and knows it all. I hope I have my little baby girl early cause it's next month which seems so soon but when time is going by so slow for me. I feel like I've been preggers forever lol. I'm not sure if my mom was early with all my brothers and my sister but I'll ask her. Thanks everyone.
