That's awesome that the triple screen came back negative, a very good sign! :-)

I'm sorry that the amnio was so painful and you are still hurting, hopefully though it will come back with some re assuring news. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Take it easy today and get plenty of rest.

Hey Drb......

Glad your triple screen came back ok, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good news on the amnio results. Just try to relax and think possitive thoughts, you don't need anymore stress right now, just kick back and enjoy this pregnancy!!!

How do they do that anyway? Do they at least num you first?

Other than all this other stress and b/s in your life at the moment how is everything else?? Is Gabby doing anything new yet? I bet she's getting big.

Big Hugs girlie, your gonna be ok!!!!

they dont numb you at all...they do it in the ultrasound room and they watch with ultrasound the whole time and they insert a needle into a pocket of amniotic fluid (after the put this antibacterial stuff which name i cannot remember) and then take the needle out leavingin a plastic tube (catheter kinda) and then hook the syringes up to it and they take 3 vials full of amniotic fluid. and then after they take the needle out and then thats it..they check the babies heart rate and then well the lady let me lay there a bit..i had a few contractions after but now they are over but it still cramps a bit where the needle was but im ok now.......nerves got the best of me too and i puked up my whole lunch...weeeeeeee..........i dont wish any of this on anyone...

as to how everything else is..its actually not bad...gabby is growing like crazy she is 9.5 months and not walking yet but she dances and sings and talks (well babbles) she is furniture walking too....and wearing 12 month clothes....

i am working 5 days a week saving up my money (all i can) and being mom...i love the mom part!

Awww that sounds painful, I'm glad it's over......

And Gabby sounds just precious. I love being a mother as well, it's great isn't it, ppl razz me all the time about having so many kids but I did exactly what I wanted and I'm loving every minute of it.

It sounds like a very scary thing to go through. But it seems like you are a strong mom and handled it all pretty well. Your child is very lucky to have you. Hope good news keeps coming your way. Sounds like the little baby is a trooper and keeps suprising everyone. Good Luck Hon!!
