Has anyone noticed as they're getting farther along if the hair on your belly is getting more noticeable? There seems to be more and it's even darker... Kind of embarrassing, but at the same time I seem to recall seeing this before on a show or something. . .

I don't think mine is getting darker---but it kind of sticks straight up or something so it is more noticeable--- :)

Try and not shave it, it does fall out after the baby so don't worry.
It seems like I need to shave my legs everyday, the hair grows so fast.

I have noticed hair on my belly too. I am so blonde thought that you can hardly notice it. My leg hair has grown faster too. Although I can't reach my legs to shave them anymore...haha I have to get my husband to do it.

My legs aren't so bad (even though I'm mostly just lazy about shaving them), but I honestly cannot see my bikini area anymore. Last time I shaved, I couldn't see anything, so I just shaved everything. Later I told my husband that if he wants it taken care of, it's gonna have to be his job. It's ridiculous!

Do you think women are in general not that "groomed" when they go in to deliver? I'm terribly paranoid about this-- I make sure I'm shaved and everything EVERY time I go to the doctor even though they've never had the need to do an internal exam...I just get paranoid about that I'll get caught off guard and they'll have to look at stubble. But honestly, I can't say that I'm still going to be able to shave as often or as gracefully once I'm in my ninth month...Do you think they're use to seeing women in this position?

Yeah I know what you mean. I usually wax but I have heard that it isn't a good idea when you are prego b/c of all the extra blood or something. I sliced myslef pretty good trying to do my bikini are the first time. It's like doing it with your eyes closed. I am scared of "not being groomed" too emily. I have wondered that. I am only 32 weeks, but I have wondered if you get to a point where you just don't care, or where you dont feel like having someone else look at you long enough to do it.

OMG the hair i hate shaving anyways so i put off as long as i can. Maybe once every 2wks or so i know i am awful. but when i do shave it looks like a cat blew up in the bath tub it is gross. and my coochie hair is omg i try to keep it trimmed but it is like it is taking over lmaoooooooo i am gonna start using my boyfriends clippers to trim it lmao sssshhhhh don't tell him.

Haha. I'm about ready to pop any day/week now, so I try to keep it all nice and clean all the time anymore. I'm worried that it will be time and I won't be 'prepared' down there. I used to do it only for the doc appointments and not anytime in between because I couldn't see it anymore. But I've tried to work it into my shower routine to stay on top of it all. I'm sure the docs have seen it all though and probably don't care too much. And if the videos that we had to watch in lamaze class were any representation of how groomed the women are when they go in for labor... yuck! Either those things were from the 80s or these ladies just really didn't care.

OMG! LMAO! Cat blew up in the bathtub. I wish I wouldn't have been at work when I read that one... people are staring at me funny... I think they've caught on that I'm not doing actual work over here.

lmao mel i saw a few of those videos too and thought i don't wanna look like that when i have the baby.

I am at work alone and am just laughing away. lol

I know what you mean about being prepared mel...I've been wondering how I will handle it around the time Baby's due...I keep envisioning myself standing around and my water breaking and me going "OH MY GOD....I'VE GOTTA SHAVE!"

Ha Ha Ha Ha Emily too funny i would prolly be the same way.

Ok... I don't think I can post here anymore until I get home from work. Lol. Everything is making me laugh!

My other fear that kinda goes along with the shaving thing is that I'm not going to be showered when the time comes. I shower in the mornings before work, but I'm affraid that I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night and it's going to be time and I'm not going to be able to wash my hair. From those same lamaze videos (the 80s ones) I've seen how much these women sweat. I'm sure I'll sweat too and it is going to make my hair gross, so I don't want to go in starting out with dirty hair!

That probably makes me sound really vain... I don't want my hair to look/feel gross... but I want to be able to take a picture with my new baby after it's all over and be able to look at it later without cringing at the sight of myself.

Yeah I think those videos are pretty old. Have you guys seen the fetal development ones where the babys look like yettis and the guy has such a nasal voice you can't understand a word he says? I am surprised that they don't update the videos.

I love the ones where the dads have mullets!

maybe they are just waiting, thinking mullets and hairy bushes are going to make comebacks.

OMG I am dieing laughing here. I have been a little lazy in the shaving area, but I shaved everything last night. well really it was a 2 day process. I was squating in the tub to shave the coochie, but it was hurthing my belly so I had to stop. I had jsut let it get to far out of control. So I finished it up yesterday. I keep saying tha tI am foing to shave each time I take a bath, but it never happens LOL. I ask gary if when I am too fat will he do it. He is so squeemish he jsut said Jill I don't want to talk about that. I think that I am going to have to pay to have it waxed LOL.

oh and marlene I do use my husbands clippers to trim the front area. He came in to the bathroom when I was doing it and just shook his heal and left. He acts like women are just hairless by chance and it takes no effort. I am sure he will never look at his clippers the same again LOL

Name: melmoney | Date: Oct 26th, 2006 6:12 PM
Haha... I'd ask Blake to do it, but he'd probably just try to turn it into sex instead... men...

Yeah! I've noticed the hair on my tummy got a bit longer, it was weird! But it is still this soft blonde color!

I ask gary to help me with an earing once and he almost threw up. He had to sit on the bed I thought that he was going to pass out. I keep telling him that there is no way he is going to make it thruogh the birth. He cracks me up
